About This Workshop:

They say Friday the 13th is unlucky… unless you’re bending hot glass, meeting cool people, and walking away with handmade glass drinking straws. This workshop is the perfect excuse to try something new, flirt with fate, and maybe even meet someone who thinks fire + glass is as hot as you do.

Led by Zach Higgins of Nobody Neon, you’ll learn the fundamentals of glass straw bending. You'll learn how to score and cut glass tubing, draw a neon pattern, and hot-bend tubing using a blow hose on a neon ribbon burner. Zach will also have finished and in-progress neon pieces on hand, so you can get a behind-the-scenes look at the neon-making process while you work.

REFUND POLICY

Classes/Workshops and Camps: Redux Contemporary Art Center may cancel any class with insufficient enrollment; students will be notified and given a full refund. If a student withdraws at least 48 hours before the class begins, they will be refunded their tuition minus an administrative fee. If a student withdraws within 48 hours before the class begins, no refunds will be given. Students are not enrolled until complete payment is received. Redux will not pro-rate or offer make-up days for student absences.
