In this series workshop we’ll not only spend time inside the classroom learning about Landscape drawing through Old Master’s techniques, but (weather permitting) we’ll also be venturing outside of the classroom to work “en plein air” at historic locations in Charleston. We’ll explore both traditional and contemporary takes on landscape drawing, focusing on how to create the illusion of depth with a variety of textures using graphite, charcoal, and pen & ink. This class is
suitable for those at beginner-intermediate levels, although having basic foundational drawing experience already is best.
Required Materials for Students:
-Drawing pencils and erasers
-Hand-held Pencil Sharpener
-Recommended 9x12 to 11x14 sizes (and 18x24 if you want to work larger) of Canson Mixed media pads/paper
