About This Workshop:
Join local calligrapher, Gibbs, to learn the basics of pointed pen calligraphy. This workshop is designed for beginners, so no calligraphy experience is required. This workshop is great for anyone who wants to dive into calligraphy but doesn’t know where to start, or anyone who just wants a fun few hours learning a new skill with friends.
With your ticket, you will receive:
- 2 hours of instruction by Gibbs
- Supplies: 1 pen holder, 2 nibs, black ink, tracing paper for practice
- Worksheets and lowercase alphabet exemplar for continued practice at home
By the end of this workshop you will:
- Understand the foundations of pointed pen calligraphy, including how to use a calligraphy pen.
- Be proficient in the basic calligraphy strokes that are the building blocks of the alphabet.
- Have the confidence, resources, and encouragement to continue practicing at home.

REFUND POLICY
Classes/Workshops and Camps: Redux Contemporary Art Center may cancel any class with insufficient enrollment; students will be notified and given a full refund. If a student withdraws at least 48 hours before the class begins, they will be refunded their tuition minus an administrative fee. If a student withdraws within 48 hours before the class begins, no refunds will be given. Students are not enrolled until complete payment is received. Redux will not pro-rate or offer make-up days for student absences.
