Citra Solv and Nat Geo Workshop

Try your hand at the fun and surprising process of applying Citra Solv to vintage Nat Geographic magazines. The results are unexpected and full of happy accidents. The citrus in this serious cleaning product gradually loosens the inks on older magazines and as you lean into the process, you will find ways to either manipulate the inks or just allow their magic to unfold. You will end up with a group of pages perfect for future projects in assemblage, collage, paintings, or even scan them for computer graphic work. Part scientist / part curator of colors, shapes and textures - this exercise speaks to any creative type looking for ways to invite the unexpected into their work.
Please note:
Citra Solv is a very strong product. We will wear gloves and work outside. However, if you are very sensitive to smell, citrus or cleaning products this is not the class for you.
This class is weather dependant and will be cancelled/rescheduled in case of rain.

REFUND POLICY
Classes/Workshops and Camps: Redux Contemporary Art Center may cancel any class with insufficient enrollment; students will be notified and given a full refund. If a student withdraws at least 48 hours before the class begins, they will be refunded their tuition minus an administrative fee. If a student withdraws within 48 hours before the class begins, no refunds will be given. Students are not enrolled until complete payment is received. Redux will not pro-rate or offer make-up days for student absences.
