Description:
Luke DePolo, a skilled oil painter, invites you to join his Intro to Portrait Oil Painting class held within the inspiring walls of Redux. Designed for beginners and intermediate artists alike, this course guides students through the essential techniques of portrait painting—from capturing accurate proportions and facial structure to mastering skin tones, lighting, and expressive brushwork.
Students will learn how to observe and translate the subtleties of the human face—expression, form, and personality—into compelling visual narratives that feel both lifelike and emotionally resonant. Special attention will be given to achieving likeness while also encouraging creative interpretation and personal style. Each session includes live demonstrations, group discussions, and one-on-one guidance tailored to individual goals. This class fosters a supportive, engaging environment where you can develop your skills, build confidence, and leave with a portrait- or a few- you’ll be proud to display in your own space.

REFUND POLICY
Classes/Workshops: Redux Contemporary Art Center may cancel any class with insufficient enrollment; students will be notified and given a full refund. If a student withdraws at least 48 hours before the class begins, they will be refunded their tuition minus an administrative fee. If a student withdraws within 48 hours before the class begins, no refunds will be given. Students are not enrolled until complete payment is received. Redux will not pro-rate or offer make-up days for student absences.
