This six-week class is designed to introduce and expand on the basic elements of oil
painting through the still-life. This class offers an in-depth and academic study to color
theory, demos on different painting techniques, paint handling, color mixing, and proper
studio practice and care for tools and equipment. All of this combined with guided exercises will help familiarize each student with the medium.
We will start with black and white value studies and then move up to a full-color palette for a final painting. This course is designed for beginners and those who want a refresher on the medium and color mixing!

REFUND POLICY
Classes/Workshops: Redux Contemporary Art Center may cancel any class with insufficient enrollment; students will be notified and given a full refund. If a student withdraws at least 48 hours before the class begins, they will be refunded their tuition minus an administrative fee. If a student withdraws within 48 hours before the class begins, no refunds will be given. Students are not enrolled until complete payment is received. Redux will not pro-rate or offer make-up days for student absences.
