Description:
Discover what makes oil painting such a versatile and rewarding medium in this four-session course with artist Luke DePolo. Designed as an approachable introduction to oil painting, this class will explore the fundamentals of working with oils while giving students plenty of hands-on experience at the easel.
Each session will focus on a different subject—beginning with a still life, followed by a landscape, skull, and portrait. Students will complete one painting during each two-hour class while learning about color mixing, brushwork, composition, value, and the unique qualities that make oil paint such an exciting medium to work with.
Whether you're picking up oil paints for the first time or looking to build more confidence with the medium, this course is all about learning through painting, experimenting, and discovering a few of the things that make oils feel like magic.

REFUND POLICY
Classes/Workshops: Redux Contemporary Art Center may cancel any class with insufficient enrollment; students will be notified and given a full refund. If a student withdraws at least 48 hours before the class begins, they will be refunded their tuition minus an administrative fee. If a student withdraws within 48 hours before the class begins, no refunds will be given. Students are not enrolled until complete payment is received. Redux will not pro-rate or offer make-up days for student absences.
