Description:

Let’s get bold, bright, and expressive! In Color Creators, campers will explore how color can be used to express emotion, create mood, and add depth to their art. Through playful and age-appropriate lessons in color theory, mixing, contrast, and composition, young artists will begin to see color not just as decoration, but as a powerful storytelling tool.

We'll experiment with a variety of materials (paint, collage, pastel, and more), all while learning about warm vs. cool colors, complementary palettes, value, saturation, and how artists across time have used color to communicate.

Each day includes guided art sessions, creative exploration time, and fresh-air breaks, as well as occasional supervised walks to nearby Hampton Park (waiver required).

What to bring:

• A packed lunch & water bottle

• Feel‑good shoes (we’ll be moving around!)

• Any snack or personal item that helps your child feel comfortable

• Clothes that can get a little messy (we’ll be painting, gluing, exploring!)

Important note: A waiver will be required to allow us to visit Hampton Park for fresh‑air breaks and inspiration outdoors.

REFUND POLICY

Summer Camps: Redux Contemporary Art Center may cancel any camp with insufficient enrollment; students will be notified and given a full refund. If a student withdraws at least 72 hours before the camp begins, they will be refunded their tuition minus an administrative fee. If a student withdraws within 72 hours before the camp begins, no refunds will be given. Students are not enrolled until complete payment is received. Redux will not pro-rate or offer make-up days for student absences.
