Skill Level: Beginner friendly, but hand-sewing experience a plus!

Description:

Learn how to block & create your own Merino wool felt hat. Choose from a selection of royal blue, camel, or avocado for your felt hood. 
 
 
Part 1 - Using wooden hat blocks, steam, stiffener & upper body strength, learn the basics of blocking a wool hat. 
 
Part 2 - Practice basic hand sewing techniques to add a sweatband, trim excess material & wire your brim into shape.
 
Part 3 - Trim & embellish the body of your hat with ribbons, feathers & notions with millinery thread & glue.

REFUND POLICY

Classes/Workshops and Camps: Redux Contemporary Art Center may cancel any class with insufficient enrollment; students will be notified and given a full refund. If a student withdraws at least 48 hours before the class begins, they will be refunded their tuition minus an administrative fee. If a student withdraws within 48 hours before the class begins, no refunds will be given. Students are not enrolled until complete payment is received. Redux will not pro-rate or offer make-up days for student absences.
